Granulati Carrara S.r.l. is quite a new company established in 2003, however, its management has over thirty years experience in production and sales of white Carrara marble chips, powders and calcium carbonate in general. The very first crushing plant to be built by one of our directors dates back to 1966, and over the years that particular business grew and developed, finally becoming part of an important multi-national group dealing in a wide range of industrial minerals. After many years in the International scenario, the yearning to return “home” to the hands-on production of “calcium carbonate” inspired us to start afresh and make good use of all the knowledge and experience, both technical and commercial, gained over the years. For this reason in 2003 Granulati Carrara S.r.l. was ‘born’. Since then the business has gradually grown and been developed, passing in a short space of time from a simple sales activity, to the purchase of our first crushing plant at Albiano Magra in 2005, and subsequently the second plant at Avenza Carrara in 2006. Today our daily production rate from the two plants, thanks also to the installation of modern and efficient crushing equipment, reaches approximately 500,000 Tonnes per annum. Compared to similar businesses in our area, our company has two main advantages; firstly our plants have exceptional storage capacity, in order to ensure that all orders can be satisfied immediately, whatever the quantity. Secondly our organisation has access to consistent and reliable supplies of raw material (white marble rocks) from the famous Carrara marble quarries. Our products also comply with Marking Directive UNI EN 12620. In conclusion we pride ourselves on our efficiency, in order to ensure that our customers are supplied with high quality material, on time and at competitive prices!
